„Dober večer, Najničko, kaj mi ti sad radiš?"
„Z levom nogom sinka zibam, z rukami pak radim!“
„Tvoj se dragi je oženil, tebe je ostavil.“
„To pak nije istina, snočka je pri meni bil.

„Če ne verješ, Najnička, idi na vr' gore,
Tam buš čula huškanje, preveselo igranje.“
Išla Najnča vu goru, tam je čula uškanje,
Tam je čula uškanje, preveselo igranje.
Ona se je vrnula na žalosno srce,
Odma zela motiku, nakopa korenje.
Odma je pristavila bez vode i granja,
Počelo zavirati, počel dragi vmirati.
Njoj doleti deverec: „ Dober večer, Najnča!
Kaj si to napravila? Mladi dragi vmira.“
"Nisam niš napravila, nisam ga ni vidla,

A ballad about young Najnička who is busy taking care of her baby when she hears her sweetheart is planning to get married to another.
She uses magic powers to brew some roots.
Her lover dies mysteriously.
When she’s confronted, Najnička says:
“I haven’t done anything. I haven’t even seen him.”
