Imel Bogdan devet vinograda, se je zapil i na krčmu znosil.
Neje imel s kime naplaćati, vodi Bogdan ljubu na prodaju.
Ni se mogel dugo kupec najti, dok ni došlo jeno mlado Turče.
„Kaj je cena Bogdanici mladoj?“ „Njoj je cena tri tovara blaga.“
„Bogdanica, ti si jako lepa! Imaš koga od svojega roda?“
„Imam, imam jenu staru majku i jenoga braca rođenoga.“
„Bi l' ga mogla po čem poznavati?“ „Mogla bi ga, mogla poznavati,
Kada ga je majka porodila na čelu mu znamenje ostalo.“
„Zdravo jesi, moja sestra mila! Zdravo jesi, moj jedini svače!
Nemoj sestru ti na Pazar vodit, ni za skupe novce prodavati!

Bogdan had nine vineyards but lost all his wealth to booze at the local tavern.
When he was penniless, he decided to sell the only thing that remained- his young wife.
At the market, a young Turk wanted to buy Bogdan’s wife.
What a surprise when they recognised each other to be brother and sister by the birthmark on the Turk's forehead.
Bogdan’s debts were settled by his newly discovered brother-in-law and he didn’t have to part with his young wife
